. Blam! Blam! Bang! Bang! Bang! Was the noise of the cherry bomb that Fred threw up in the air. “Wow” I said as I walked over to the bag of fireworks to have my fun. As I pulled out a bottle rocket and saw an empty coke can, I had a brilliant idea. So I gathered up Cole, Eric, Ben, Sam, Fred, Stephen, Will, Dylan, Finn, and Ryan and told them what we should do. We set the contraption up with sticking a bottle rocket through the can and put a set of wheels on the bottom of a Coke can. We got a lighter and lit the rocket fuse and watched it soar. The contraption rolled down the street like a bolder coming down a mountain. We watched it roll down the hill then explode into a million pieces and we all clapped for it. Then we all did more fireworks and more crazy awesome things. The next thing we did was fill a can with cherry bombs and dropped an M 80 a huge explosive firework in and watched it explode. It was amazing with the flames and the popping of the metal can. We were so surprised that the can was still intact!
We were very intrepid to try this next one, we decided to get our skateboards and jump over 10 cherry bombs as they were exploding. Stephen was the first to try then Sam then me then Dylan. It was so fun even though it burned the bottom of our skateboards We got tired of working with cherry bombs so we went out to get some roman candles and we got enough for everyone and had a gigantic war with them. The war seemed like it went on forever because nobody would come out of their hiding spots. Finally I came out and shot at them until I had won. We were having so much fun that we didn’t realize the time, it was 11:30 at night. We blasted a lot more fire works till about 1:00 in the morning. The group started to have a gigantic firework show. We shot off fountains and magic 8’s. We put fireworks together and light one and let the others get light by the one. We used all the big ones until we had none left. After that we went to get pop-it’s and had a very big war with them. We fought and fought and the final champions were Dylan and Finn.
We ran out of all the fireworks and pop-its so we went to watch the band play. The bands name was called Broken Laces. They were amazing! They played songs while we skateboarded and biked around. After listening to some songs, we went to go get on our bikes and had a pop-it war on those. Most everybody fell off once or twice so we decided to stop and play another firework game. Then we decided to play on the trampoline. We did that till 5:00 in the morning. We had trick contests and sports games until we were all tired and at 6:00 we decided to pack it up and get some sleep. This is the story of the 4th of July in 2009
